Keeping ploughing engines, implements and skills alive
50th Anniversary 2016 GREAT DORSET STEAM FAIR
Behind the scenes - The great build up
The Club was invited by the National Traction Engine Trust to join with them in their marquee at the Great Dorset Steam Fair and to put on a display of ploughing engines and equipment.
A ‘Road Train’ of two ploughing engines with their equipment, including a living van and water cart, were outside the marquee.
Exhibition organisers Simon and Melanie Fisher said, “On behalf of the Steam Plough Club we would like to thank Martin Oliver for making us so welcome, the National Traction Engine Trust for inviting our club to join them in their marquee, the engine and equipment owners who displayed their steam ploughing equipment and all those from the NTET and SPC who helped to set up and look after the display. Thank you and those who came to view our exhibits and for all your positive comments. We all enjoyed the five days.”
